Storytime (Violent Storytelling)

• Chairs

• Story

Arrange the chairs in a circle (seats facing to the inside) Write or find a story involving all the characters.

All children but one should have a chair. Walk around the circle and give each child a name from one of 4 categories (i.e. dog, cat, pig, goat) once all children have a name begin to read the story. Every time a name is called the child with that name is to change seats with someone else of that character while the person without a chair tries to steal one of the empty chairs. When a key phrase (i.e. Friends Forever) is called all children must switch chairs regardless of their name. (when a child switches seats the new seat cannot be the seat beside them).
