Supplies needed

• 1, 5, 10… Dollar bill

• Glass Bowl

• 90% Rubbing Alcohol

• Water

• Tongs

• Lighter

Setup

Mix 3/4 rubbing alcohol with 1/4 water in a glass bowl and set aside.

Lesson

As you read and explain the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego (found in Daniel 3) and how God saved them from the fire use the tongs to coat the dollar bill in the water/alcohol solution making sure that it is completely coated. When you get to the point where they are thrown in the furnace light the dollar bill on fire (the water protects the bill while the alcohol burns off leaving the bill unharmed)
